  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 4 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • egg yolks - 5 item
  • heavy cream

  • bourbon - 1/4 c
  • stick soft butter - 1 item
  • loaf bread - 1 item
  • Whiskey Sauce:1 stick butter

How to make bread pudding with whiskey sauce:

Whiskey Sauce:1 stick butter1 c. sugar1 egg1/4 c. bourbon1 1/2 c. heavy cream Cube bread and soak in 4 cups milk. Cream butter with sugar and blend eggs in mixture. Add spices. Combine bread mixture and fold in butter mixture. Pour into casserole. Bake in water bath at 350° to 375° for 1 hour or until knife inserted comes out clean.

Whiskey Sauce: Melt butter, add sugar, egg and heavy cream. Pour into blender and mix.
