Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 4 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- egg yolks - 5 item
- heavy cream
- egg - 1 item
- bourbon - 1/4 c
- stick soft butter - 1 item
- loaf bread - 1 item
- Whiskey Sauce:1 stick butter
How to make bread pudding with whiskey sauce:
Whiskey Sauce:1 stick butter1 c. sugar1 egg1/4 c. bourbon1 1/2 c. heavy cream Cube bread and soak in 4 cups milk. Cream butter with sugar and blend eggs in mixture. Add spices. Combine bread mixture and fold in butter mixture. Pour into casserole. Bake in water bath at 350° to 375° for 1 hour or until knife inserted comes out clean.Whiskey Sauce: Melt butter, add sugar, egg and heavy cream. Pour into blender and mix.
