Bread pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch
- water - 3 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- beaten eggs - 4 item
- scalded milk - 6 c
- soft bread cubes - 12 c
- raisins as many as you would like - 1 item
- Add this to the beaten eggs
How to make bread pudding:
Add together the sugar, salt, vanilla, cinnamon and raisins. Add this to the beaten eggs. Pour this all over the bread cubes that have been put in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Place in a larger pan with 1/2-inch of water in it. Bake in a 350° oven for about 1 hour, until inserted knife comes out clean.Sauce:3/4 c. sugar4 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch1/4 tsp. salt1/4 c. margarine3 c. water1 tsp. vanilla Cook first 5 ingredients until thick, remove from heat and add vanilla.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, American.
