  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • melted butter - 2 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • molasses - 1/3 c
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • sifted flour - 2 c
  • raisins optional - 1 item
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • Add egg, beating well

How to make ginger creams:

Cream together margarine and sugar. Add egg, beating well. Stir in molasses. Sift together the dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternately with water. Drop from teaspoon 2-inches apart. Bake in a 400° oven for 8 minutes. Remove to rack. Frost while still warm.Icing:1 1/2 c. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla2 Tbsp. melted butter2 Tbsp. milk Mix all ingredients until smooth.
