Ginger creams
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- molasses - 1/3 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- raisins optional - 1 item
- margarine - 1/4 c
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- Add egg, beating well
How to make ginger creams:
Cream together margarine and sugar. Add egg, beating well. Stir in molasses. Sift together the dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternately with water. Drop from teaspoon 2-inches apart. Bake in a 400° oven for 8 minutes. Remove to rack. Frost while still warm.Icing:1 1/2 c. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla2 Tbsp. melted butter2 Tbsp. milk Mix all ingredients until smooth.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
