  • cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/4 c
  • sifted flour
  • fresh blueberries - 1 c
  • Blend in milk and sifted ingredients

How to make blueberry coffee cake:

Beat the sugar, shortening and egg, using high speed. Blend in milk and sifted ingredients. Gently fold in berries. Spread batter in 8-inch square pan, lightly greased. Sprinkle with Crumb Topping.Crumb Topping:1/2 c. sugar1/3 c. flour3/4 tsp. cinnamon1/4 c. butter Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
