Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • baking powder
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • fresh blueberries - 2 c

How to make blueberry buckle:

Preheat oven to 350°. Thoroughly cream shortening and 3/4 cup sugar. Add egg and beat until light and fluffy. Stir together 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Spread in greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch pan. Top with berries.

Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup flour and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over berries and bake for 45 minutes. Cut in squares. Serve warm.
