Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- hot water - 1 c
- grated onion - 2 Tbsp
- diced cucumber - 1/2 c
- lemon gelatin - 1 pkg
- diced, cooked beets - 1 c
- canned beet juice - 3/4 c
How to make beet salad:
Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add beet juice, vinegar, salt and onion. Chill until partially thickened. Add beets and cucumbers. Chill until firm. Serve on lettuce, spinach, fresh mustard or other greens.Recipe categories: Salads, Vegetarian, Fall.
