Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 pt
- mustard - 2 tsp
- celery seed - 2 tsp
- small head cabbage - 1 item
- cooked beets - 1 qt
- grated horseradish - 1 c
How to make beet relish:
Put the beets and cabbage through the food chopper and add other ingredients in the order given. Let stand at least 24 hours before using. This relish will keep well in a covered crock with a little salad oil poured over it.Recipe categories: Sauces, Savory sauces, Spreads.
