Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1 item
  • cooking oil - 3 Tbsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 lb
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • beef stew meat, cubed - 1 lb
  • bottle beer - 1 oz
  • or 4 potatoes, diced - 3 item
  • to 3 carrots, sliced - 2 item

How to make beer beef stew:

Roll beef in flour. Brown in oil in Dutch oven. Add onion, garlic and salt. Saute. Add beer, mushrooms, carrots and bay leaf. Cover and simmer slowly 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Add potatoes and peas last 1/2 hour.
