Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 qt
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- can Ro-Tel tomatoes - 1 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- bean soup mix
- hot sausage or diced ham - 1 item
- juice of 1 ???
How to make bean soup:
Wash beans, cover with water, adding 1 tablespoon salt, and soak for at least 3 hours or overnight. Put beans in 2 quarts of water and let boil slowly for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add precooked sausage or ham. Cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 30 minutes more. Serve in a bowl over rice.Recipe categories: For large groups, Soups & stews, Beans.
