Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • water - 1/4 c
  • cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • chili powder - 1 tsp
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1/2 lb
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • cumin powder - 1 tsp

How to make texas wiener sauce:

Saute onion in oil. Add meat. Stir until meat loses color. Add rest of ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, about 20 minutes. Spoon over hot dogs in buns.

Note: Chili powder and cumin powder may be adjusted to taste.
