  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • cornstarch - 3/4 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp

How to make batter for fried vegetables:

Combine cornstarch, flour, baking powder, salt and pepper. Stir in water and egg, slightly beaten. As you dip the vegetables, stir batter occasionally. Heat oil to 375°.

Note: If batter is too thick, add a little water.
