Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- catsup
- bay leaf - 1 item
- clove garlic - 1 item
- medium onion - 1 item
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- liquid smoke - 1 Tbsp
- brisket of beef
How to make barbecued brisket:
Sauce:1 c. catsup2 Tbsp. lemon juice1 Tbsp. sugar1/2 tsp. chili powder2 tsp. salt1 Tbsp. liquid smoke1 tsp. celery seed1 c. water Boil the brisket with onion, garlic and bay leaf until tender, 2 to 3 hours, on top of stove. Slice brisket thinly. Place brisket in roasting pan and bake at 350° for 1 hour. If serving with rice, double the sauce.Recipe categories: Weeknight, Meat, Beef.
