Ingredients/Components

  • brisket - 6 lb
  • liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion salt and celery salt - 3 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1 item
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
  • Barbecue Sauce - 1 item
  • Allow to stand overnight covered with foil
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • celery seed - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • water - 2 c
  • onion, chopped can use dry minced - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1/4 c

How to make barbecued brisket:

Sprinkle brisket with liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion salt and celery salt. Allow to stand overnight covered with foil. Next morning, sprinkle with pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and bake 5 hours at 275°. Drain grease off then. Uncover and bake 1 hour with Barbecue Sauce.Barbecue Sauce:1 c. catsup1 tsp. salt1 tsp. celery seed1/4 c. brown sugar1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce2 c. water1 onion, chopped (can use dry minced)1/4 c. vinegar Boil 15 minutes.
