How to make barbecued baby back ribs:

Sauce:3 Tbsp. oil3 Tbsp. chili sauce2 Tbsp. lemon juice dash of pepper dash of dry mustard Wipe ribs with wet towel or damp paper towels. Place ribs in a single layer in a shallow roasting pan. Roast ribs at 450° for about 20 minutes, turning once.

Prepare basting sauce by mixing all ingredients together. Remove ribs from oven and brush with sauce on both sides. Return to oven. Bake at 450° for about 20 minutes longer or until ribs are tender. Baste with sauce from time to time while cooking. Cover with foil if ribs start to darken. Reduce heat to 400° for last 10 minutes of cooking time.

Good served with baked potatoes or chips, buttered broccoli or corn and a tossed salad.

The basting sauce is good also for chicken, turkey legs or ground meat patties. For higher flavor, you may add 2 tablespoons red wine to sauce, if desired.
