Banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
- nuts optional - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- mashed ripe bananas - 2 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Sift together dry ingredients. Mash bananas and lemon juice together. Mix well. Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk. Beat after each addition. Fold in bananas. Pour into two greased loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
