  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 4 6
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • water - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • Put shortening and margarine, water and cocoa in pan and bring to boil

How to make chocolate brownies:

Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Put shortening and margarine, water and cocoa in pan and bring to boil. Pour over flour mixture. Add beaten eggs. Mix buttermilk, soda, vanilla and cinnamon in a cup. Add to mixture. Bake in a greased 12 x 18-inch pan at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.Frosting:1 c. margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa4 to 6 Tbsp. milk1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts Combine first 3 ingredients in a pan. Bring to boil. Add sugar, vanilla and nuts. Blend. Pour on hot cake. Make frosting 5 minutes before cake is done.
