Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- flour
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- liquid shortening oil - 3/4 c
- eggs unbeaten - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- baking soda, dissolved in 1/4 c
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- large ripe bananas, mashed - 5 item
How to make banana nut bread:
In large bowl, mix sugar, flour and salt. Add and mix by hand the shortening (oil), unbeaten eggs, vanilla and baking soda dissolved in buttermilk. Add pecans and bananas. Pour into 2 loaf pans or a large ring mold. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
