Banana cream pie
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- water
- whipped cream - 1 item
- lemon juice - 1 item
- medium bananas - 3 item
- egg yolks, beaten - 3 item
- can condensed milk - 1 item
- baked pastry shell - 1 item
- butter/margarine - 2 Tbsp
How to make banana cream pie:
In heavy saucepan, dissolve cornstarch in water; stir in sweetened condensed milk and egg yolks. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat; add margarine and vanilla. Cool slightly. Slice 2 bananas and dip in lemon juice and drain. Arrange on the bottom of prepared crust. Pour filling over bananas. Cover and chill 4 hours or until set. Spread top with whipped cream.
