Ingredients/Components
- unbaked 9-inch pie crust - 1 item
- brown sugar - 3 Tbsp
- canned or fresh cooked pumpkin - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, unbeaten - 2 item
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- ground ginger - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- Combine with pumpkin, brown sugar and eggs, scalded evaporated milk and water
- grated orange rind - 1 Tbsp
- whole pecans - 3/4 c
How to make pumpkin pecan pie:
Mix well sugar, salt and spices. Combine with pumpkin, brown sugar and eggs, scalded evaporated milk and water. Stir until evenly blended. Pour into unbaked shell and bake at 425° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 35 minutes. Sprinkle with pecan topping.
