Baked stuffed pork chops
Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1/4 c
- hot water - 3 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- diced Italian bread
- chopped peeled Granny apples - 1 c
- pork chops 1/2-inch thick for stuffing - 4 item
How to make baked stuffed pork chops:
Mix first 5 ingredients. Saute onion and butter. Add to first mixture. Sprinkle in hot water and mix well. Slit pocket in chops. Stuff loosely with apple mixture. Close with skewers.Brown chops well on both sides in same skillet. Place in casserole or baking pan. Add 1/2 cup water to drippings in skillet. Stir and pour over chops. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 1 hour or so. Uncover and bake another 15 minutes until brown.
