Baked pork chops
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- water - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- Italian bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- thick loin chops - 4 item
How to make baked pork chops:
Combine crumbs, pepper and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Dip chops in crumbs, into egg diluted with water and again in crumbs. Press firmly into chops. Brown slowly on each side in hot oil in heavy skillet. Blend flour and remaining salt into skillet and add milk gradually, then 1 cup water. Stir until gravy boils and is smooth and thickened. Place chops in gravy. Cover and bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
