Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • ground beef
  • cans tomato paste - 2 oz
  • can tomatoes - 1 lb
  • cartons Ricotta cheese - 2 oz
  • Mozzarella sliced cheese - 1 lb

How to make baked lasagna:

Brown the meat slowly. Spoon off excess fat. Add the garlic, parsley flakes, salt, tomatoes and tomato paste to meat. Simmer, uncovered, until thick, 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Cook the noodles in boiling salted water until tender; drain and rinse in cold water. Meanwhile, combine Ricotta cheese with the next 5 ingredients. Place half the noodles in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Spread half of the Ricotta cheese mixture over. Add half of the Mozzarella cheese and half of the meat mixture. Repeat layers. Put foil over the top and bake in moderate oven at 375° for 20 minutes. Take foil off and continue to bake for another 10 minutes. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
