Ingredients/Components

sugar - 1 c
vanilla - 1 tsp
milk - 1 c
salt - 1/2 tsp
flour - 2 c
butter - 1 Tbsp
cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
cocoa - 4 Tbsp
baking powder - 3 tsp
boiling water - 1 c
eggs, well beaten - 2 item
melted shortening - 1/4 c
Add milk, melted shortening and well beaten eggs
cocoa or grated chocolate - 1/4 c

How to make baked chocolate pudding:

Sift together all dry ingredients including sugar. Add milk, melted shortening and well beaten eggs. Mix well; pour in a greased mold, cover and bake near center of oven until dinner is done. Serve hot with Chocolate Sauce. This pudding may be steamed, if desired.Chocolate Sauce:1/2 c. sugar1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 tsp. vanilla1/4 c. cocoa or grated chocolate1/2 tsp. salt1 c. boiling water1 Tbsp. butter Mix dry ingredients together. Add boiling water gradually, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from fire; add butter and vanilla. Serve hot with pudding.
