Baked chocolate pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- melted shortening - 1/4 c
- Add milk, melted shortening and well beaten eggs
- cocoa or grated chocolate - 1/4 c
How to make baked chocolate pudding:
Sift together all dry ingredients including sugar. Add milk, melted shortening and well beaten eggs. Mix well; pour in a greased mold, cover and bake near center of oven until dinner is done. Serve hot with Chocolate Sauce. This pudding may be steamed, if desired.Chocolate Sauce:1/2 c. sugar1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 tsp. vanilla1/4 c. cocoa or grated chocolate1/2 tsp. salt1 c. boiling water1 Tbsp. butter Mix dry ingredients together.
