Ingredients/Components

  • water - 1 c
  • hot water - 1 c
  • onion soup mix - 3 tsp
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • can cream of celery soup - 1 item
  • uncooked rice - 1 c
  • chicken parts desired legs, thighs or breasts - 1 item

How to make baked chicken and rice:

Put raw rice in greased sheet cake pan. Pour 1 cup water over rice and 3 teaspoons onion soup mix sprinkled over rice. Place chicken on rice. Mix cream of chicken soup and cream of celery soup with hot water. Pour over the chicken; cover pan with aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for 2 hours, covered, then 1/2 hour more uncovered or until chicken is tender. Serves 6 to 8, depending on number of pieces of chicken.
