  • salt - 2 tsp
  • water - 4 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onions - 1 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • tomatoes - 6 item
  • brown Bouquet sauce - 1 tsp
  • cubed, pared potatoes - 1 c
  • cut-up carrot - 1 c

How to make autumn soup:

In a large saucepan, cook and stir ground beef until brown. Drain off fat. Cook and stir onions with meat until onions are tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients, except tomatoes; heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add tomatoes; cover and simmer 10 minutes more, until vegetables are tender.
