Asparagus bisque
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 1 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chicken broth - 1 c
- lemon pepper seasoning - 1 tsp
- milk or cream
- can asparagus, drained and chopped - 1 item
How to make asparagus bisque:
In large saucepan, combine asparagus, onions, broth, water, butter and lemon pepper seasoning. Cook over medium heat until onions are tender. This will probably take about 10 minutes. Combine flour and 1/4 c. milk. Whisk until smooth. Stir into soup. Add remaining milk or cream. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Process in blender or food processor until smooth. Makes about 4 servings.Variation: To make crabmeat asparagus bisque, put a tablespoon crabmeat in the bottom of each soup bowl and then add the bisque.
