Artichoke quiche
Ingredients/Components
- 9-inch pastry shell - 1 item
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- chopped green onion - 1/3 c
- eggs - 2 item
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- light cream half and half - 2/3 c
- can artichoke hearts, drained well and coarsely chopped - 1 oz
- grated hot pepper cheese about 1/4 lb - 1 c
- grated Cheddar cheese about 1/4 lb - 1 c
How to make artichoke quiche:
Preheat oven to 400°. Prick pastry shell and bake 8 to 12 minutes. Remove shell and reduce temperature to 350°. In butter, saute green onion. In a large bowl beat eggs, flour and cream. Stir in artichokes, pepper cheese, onion-butter mixture and Cheddar cheese, reserving 3 tablespoons. Stir until well blended. Pour into shell and bake 35 minutes. Sprinkle top with remaining cheese and bake until center is firm, about 10 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Cheese, Main dish.
