Artichoke appetizers
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- eggs, well beaten - 4 item
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- dried oregano, crushed - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- fine dry bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- or 3 drops hot pepper sauce - 2 item
- cans marinated artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped - 2 oz
How to make artichoke appetizers:
Cook onion in water until tender; drain. In bowl, combine eggs, crumbs, salt, pepper, oregano and hot pepper sauce. Stir in onion, cheese and artichokes. Spread in greased 11 x 7-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 18 to 25 minutes or until set. Cut into squares. Serve hot, garnished with pimento strips.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Cheese, Peppers.
