Artichoke appetizers
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- oregano - 1/8 tsp
- garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- large onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- Tabasco sauce - 1/8 tsp
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- parsley, minced - 2 Tbsp
- jars marinated artichoke hearts - 2 oz
- fine dry seasoned bread crumbs - 1/4 c
How to make artichoke appetizers:
Drain marinade from 1 jar of artichokes into sauteing pan. Discard other marinade. Chop artichokes; set aside. Saute onion and garlic in marinade until onion is limp, about 5 minutes. Beat eggs until fluffy, then add bread crumbs, salt, pepper, oregano and Tabasco. Stir in cheese, parsley, artichokes and onion mixture. Mix well. Pour into greased 11 x 7-inch baking pan. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before cutting. Makes 4 dozen appetizers.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Cheese, Peppers.
