Apricot bread
Ingredients/Components
- snipped dried apricots - 1 c
- warm water - 2 c
- sugar - 1 c
- butter or margarine, softened - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts your choice - 3/4 c
How to make apricot bread:
Soak apricots in warm water for 30 minutes. In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar, butter and egg. Stir in orange juice. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Stir into creamed mixture just until combined. Drain apricots well; add to batter with nuts. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes or until tests done.
