  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • water - 1/4 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
  • dried apricots - 1 c
  • orange juice - 1/2 c

How to make apricot bread:

Soak apricots in warm water to cover, at least 1/2 hour. Drain and wipe dry. Cut into quarters. Blend and combine sugar, butter and egg. Stir in water and orange juice. Add dry ingredients. Place in 9 x 5-inch loaf pan, greased and floured. Bake at 350° about 1 hour.
