Cranberry nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- cranberries* - 1 c
How to make cranberry nut bread:
*You can substitute your favorite candied candies or bananas. (Omit orange juice for banana nut bread and increase vegetable oil to 1/2 cup.)Make 1 loaf. Preheat oven to 350°. Mix all ingredients until moist. Bake for 1 hour; test with toothpick. If not done, reduce heat to 325° and continue to bake another 20 minutes. Cool on rack 15 minutes. Wrap and store. You can freeze the cake, and it will stay moist.
