Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- sifted flour
- butter or oleo - 3/4 c
- quick cook oatmeal
- apricot jam - 3/4 c
How to make apricot bars:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; stir in rolled oats and sugar. Cut in butter (oleo) until crumbly. Pat 2/3 crumb mix into 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch pan (pack firmly). Spread with preserves. Cover with remaining crumbs. Bake at 375° about 35 minutes, until brown. Cool. Cut in squares.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie.
