Applesauce spice cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 2 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• chopped nuts optional - 1/4 c
• raisins - 1 c
• applesauce - 1 c
• eggs, beaten lightly - 2 item
• butter or shortening - 1/2 c

How to make applesauce spice cake:

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and mix. Add nuts and raisins. Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with applesauce. Bake in greased 8 x 4-inch loaf pan for 1 hour in a 350° oven.
