Applesauce cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- flour, sifted - 2 c
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- walnuts, chopped - 1 c
- margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- baking raisins - 1 c
- - 8 maraschino cherries, chopped - 6 item
- can applesauce, or 1 1/2 cups - 1 lb
How to make applesauce cake:
Sift together dry ingredients. Add raisins, nuts, melted butter, applesauce and cherries. Beat until well blended. Grease tube pan and put wax paper on the bottom of the pan. Pour batter into pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low cholesterol.
