Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco
- dried fruit - 3 c
How to make fried pies:
Add 2 cups water to 1 cup fruit. Cook until tender, then cool. Add sugar to fruit; mix good. Add 1 teaspoon cinnamon.Pastry: Add flour, salt, Crisco and enough cold water to make it stiff. Roll out real thin. Cut out. Add 1 teaspoon fruit to half and close with fork. Put on well buttered cookie sheet. Grease real good with margarine.
