Apple ginger chutney
Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- cider vinegar - 3/4 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- apple juice - 1/2 c
- dried apricots, chopped - 1/4 c
- crushed pepper - 1/4 tsp
- ginger root, peeled and chopped - 2 Tbsp
- medium baking apples, cored, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces - 3 item
How to make apple ginger chutney:
In a 2-quart saucepan, combine all ingredients, except apples. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Add apples and simmer 15 to 20 minutes more or until most of the liquid is evaporated and sauce coats the back of a spoon. Cool thoroughly. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
