Ingredients/Components
- flour - 3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- egg yolk - 1 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- apples, sliced and peeled
- white sugar
- butter, melted - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- Glaze:1 egg white
- confectioners sugar - 1/2 c
- water - 2 3
How to make apple danish:
Filling:6 c. apples, sliced and peeled1 1/2 c. white sugar1/4 c. butter, melted2 Tbsp. flour1 tsp. cinnamon Glaze:1 egg white1/2 c. confectioners sugar2 to 3 tsp. water In mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Combine egg yolk and milk and add to flour mixture. Stir just until dough clings. Divide dough in half. Spread onto 10 x 15 pan. Spoon filling on top. Roll out remainder of dough and spread over apples. Bake at 375° for 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Fruit, Breakfast, Apple.
