baking powder - 2 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
soda - 1 tsp
margarine - 1 c
sugar
eggs - 2 item
peeled, chopped apples - 3 c
walnuts - 1 item
raisins - 1 item
Add eggs and beat
white Karo syrup - 1 Tbsp
milk - 1 Tbsp

How to make apple cake squares:

Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add sifted dry ingredients. Fold in apples, walnuts and raisins (batter is very stiff). Bake 1 hour at 350° in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. While still hot, spread with glaze. Serve warm.Glaze:1 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. margarine1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup1 Tbsp. milk Mix all together and spread over hot cake.
