Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- envelope Knox gelatine - 1 item
- maraschino cherry halves - 1 item
- angel food cake - 1 item
- a little salt - 1 item
How to make angel food dessert:
Heat milk in double boiler or microwave. Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Soak gelatine in 1/4 cup water for 5 minutes. Add 2 beaten eggs to hot milk and stir. Add gelatine and stir until dissolved. Cool. Tear cake into small pieces and place in 9 x 13-inch pan. Pour cooled liquid over cake. Spread with whipped topping and top with cherries. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
