Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- warm water - 2 Tbsp
- dry yeast - 1 cake
How to make angel biscuits:
Sift flour, then sift again with dry ingredients. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix shortening with flour mixture. Add yeast and buttermilk. Knead real good. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
