Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • self-rising flour - 5 c
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg
  • lukewarm water - 1 c

How to make angel biscuits:

Mix all ingredients together. Store in covered bowl in the refrigerator. Will stay good for up to 2 weeks. When ready to use, roll out and cut with a biscuit cutter. Bake in a 425° oven for about 10 minutes or until done. Makes 20 to 24 biscuits. Really good!
