Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- shortening - 3/4 c
- self-rising flour - 5 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1 c
How to make angel biscuits:
Mix all ingredients together. Store in covered bowl in the refrigerator. Will stay good for up to 2 weeks. When ready to use, roll out and cut with a biscuit cutter. Bake in a 425° oven for about 10 minutes or until done. Makes 20 to 24 biscuits. Really good!Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
