Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • self-rising flour - 6 c
  • Crisco shortening - 1 c
  • well beaten eggs - 2 item
  • yeast, dissolved in 1 c - 2 pkg
  • soda, dissolved in 1/3 c - 1 tsp

How to make angel biscuits:

Mix flour and Crisco; add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and put in refrigerator to chill. Take out amount needed for meal. Roll, cut and bake in a 450° oven until brown. Will keep indefinitely in refrigerator if covered well.
