Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- buttermilk - 2 c
- self-rising flour - 6 c
- Crisco shortening - 1 c
- well beaten eggs - 2 item
- yeast, dissolved in 1 c - 2 pkg
- soda, dissolved in 1/3 c - 1 tsp
How to make angel biscuits:
Mix flour and Crisco; add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and put in refrigerator to chill. Take out amount needed for meal. Roll, cut and bake in a 450° oven until brown. Will keep indefinitely in refrigerator if covered well.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
