American chop suey
Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- diced celery - 1 C
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 C
- small can mushrooms - 1 item
- uncooked rice - 1/2 C
- lean pork, cubed - 1 lb
- consomme or broth - 2 C
- large or 2 small onions, chopped - 1 item
How to make american chop suey:
Brown pork, add onions and brown. Add remaining ingredients, cook 10 minutes on top of stove, stirring occasionally. Then place in a casserole and bake 1 hour in a 350 degree oven. Serves: 6.Recipe categories: Pasta, Meat, Beef.
