Ingredients/Components
- water - 3 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- garlic cloves, minced - 3 item
- can whole kernel corn undrained - 1 oz
- stalks celery, sliced - 2 item
- carrots, sliced - 3 item
- bulk sausage - 1/4 lb
- can chicken or beef broth - 1 oz
- medium head cabbage, cut into 8 wedges - 1 item
- large yellow onion, sliced - 1 item
- can whole tomatoes, juice and all, chopped - 1 oz
How to make albondigas soup:
Mix pork, beef, salt and pepper together. Shape into as many 2-inch balls as it will make. Fry these in a skillet until browned on all sides. In a large pot, add carrots, celery, onion, cabbage wedges, garlic, meatballs, tomatoes, corn, broth and water. Simmer until done.
