  • box dark raisins - 1 item
  • butter or oleo - 1/4 lb
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • water
  • sugar - 2 c
  • each: cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 3
  • soda, dissolved in hot water - 1 tsp

How to make yum yum cake:

Mix and cook together 5 to 8 minutes the raisins, butter, salt, water, sugar and spices. Dissolve soda in a little hot water. Add this to raisin mixture. Add flour until of desired consistency. Bake in 350° oven for about 40 minutes. Use tube pan. Dust with powdered sugar.

Variations: I made this and added 3 eggs, shredded carrots, zucchini, shredded coconut (about 2 cups) and 1 cup chopped nuts, any kind. Keeps well, if you keep it hidden.
