Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 Tbsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- melted shortening - 6 Tbsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1 c
- sifted flour sift flour before measuring - 6 c
How to make yeast rolls:
Scald milk. Add sugar and salt. Dissolve yeast in well. Add melted shortening and remaining flour, using only enough flour to make dough handle well. Knead until smooth. Place in a greased bowl; set in warm place to rise until double in bulk. Make into rolls.
