Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- melted shortening - 3 Tbsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1/4 c
How to make yeast rolls:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add egg, warmed milk, sugar and salt. Mix well, then add flour and shortening. Use enough flour to make stiff dough. Place in large bowl and let rise double in bulk. Work down and form into rolls. Let rise again until doubled. Bake at 400°.Recipe categories: Breads, Low cholesterol, Low fat.
