Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- plain flour - 6 c
- lukewarm water - 2 c
- yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c - 2 pkg
How to make yeast rolls:
Mix egg and sugar together and beat. Sift flour and salt together. Make a hole in flour and add shortening. Add sugar and egg. Add 2 cups water. Mix well. Add yeast mixture. Put in refrigerator; cover with wet towel. Use as needed (will keep three days). Roll out and let rise to double in size. Bake at 400°.Recipe categories: Breads, Low cholesterol, Low fat.
