Walnut balls
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened or margarine - 1 c
- sugar - 1/4 c
- few grains salt - 1 item
- pinch of baking powder - 1 item
- flour - 2 c
- coarsely chopped walnuts - 1 c
- confectioners sugar
How to make walnut balls:
In medium-size bowl, mix butter, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in flour and walnuts. If mixture is too soft to handle, chill and refrigerate for a few hours. Roll into 1-inch balls. Bake at 300° for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool on wire rack 30 minutes and shake 4 at a time in bag with confectioners sugar. Great for the holidays.Recipe categories: Fruit, Main dish, Nuts.
